In Pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically:
Goal 1: No Poverty
Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities

In a humanitarian initiative that reflects the spirit of social solidarity and human belonging, several faculty members from the Department of Power Mechanics Engineering Technologies donated a complete set of home furniture to a needy family. This came after the completion of the construction of a new house for the family, which had previously been carried out as part of a humanitarian campaign organized by the department in Al-Shomali district, Babylon.
This initiative was organized under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Rusul Abbas Alwan, the department's activities coordinator, with direct guidance from the Dean of the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies, Prof. Dr. Azher Mohsen Abd, who emphasized that this donation is a continuation of ongoing efforts to support underprivileged families, stemming from the faculty's humanitarian and professional responsibility towards society.
The initiative was warmly received by the beneficiary family, as well as by department staff and students, who expressed their pride in being part of an educational institution whose mission goes beyond academics to include humanitarian and social work.
The donation was made by:
Prof. Dr. Abdul Kareem Abdul Wahab
Lecturer Salim Jassim Abbas
Assistant Lecturer Rusul Abbas Alwan
Assistant Lecturer Ali Baqir Hussein
Assistant Lecturer Ali Ajmi Fallah
The largest contribution came from the Director of the Energy Center,
Prof. Dr. Sulwan Ubaid Waheed.

A respectful salute and deep appreciation to everyone who contributed to this noble act.
