As part of the ongoing scientific activities at Al-Mustaqbal University in Iraq, the Rapporteur of the Aesthetic and Laser techniques Department attended a scientific seminar delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Sami Abdul-Hussein, a specialist in spectroscopic analysis and laser technologies, and the Head of the Department of Forensic Evidence.
The seminar was titled:“Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS)”,
The seminar highlighted the modern LIBS technology, which is considered one of the advanced tools for analyzing materials and fine samples using laser techniques, with a particular focus on its various applications in the field of forensic evidence, especially in identifying the components of samples at crime scenes.

The Rapporteur of the Department of Cosmetic and Laser Technologies expressed great interest in the scientific topics presented during the session, praising the importance of such technologies in supporting the practical aspect of education, and noting their potential use in future joint research and laboratory applications in medical cosmetics and laser diagnostics.

It is worth mentioning that Al-Mustaqbal University is committed to promoting interaction among different scientific departments through organizing specialized workshops and seminars that aim to develop research skills and enhance interdisciplinary collaboration.
