Al-Mustaqbal University Signs Strategic MoUs with Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University to Strengthen International Academic Cooperation Date: 12/07/2025 | Viewers: 373

As part of its continuous efforts to expand academic openness and international partnerships, Al-Mustaqbal University has signed a series of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKU) in Turkey. The signing took place during the university’s active participation in the 2nd International Conference on Sustainable Development Technologies, co-organized with Northern Technical University and hosted by ALKU in Turkey.
The signing ceremony was attended by high-ranking officials, including:
Prof. Dr. Adnan Al-Jumaili, Administrative Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research – Iraq
Dr. Maysar Al-Abbadi, Iraqi Cultural Attaché in Turkey
Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University
Prof. Dr. Aliaa Al-Attar, President of Northern Technical University
Dr. Bashar Mahmoud Ali, Chairman of Al-Noor University College
Prof. Dr. Kenan Ahmed, President of Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University – Turkey
The agreements cover cooperation between several faculties of Al-Mustaqbal University and their counterparts at ALKU in fields such as Medicine, Dentistry, Engineering, Health and Medical Technologies, Administrative Sciences, Education, Fine Arts, and Physical Education and Sports Sciences. A notable MoU was also signed between the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University and the Department of Energy and Sustainability Management at ALKU.
In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi emphasized that these agreements reflect the university's commitment to advancing its internationalization strategy and enhancing the quality of higher education by expanding collaborative research networks, exchanging academic expertise, and launching joint training and practical programs. He also affirmed that this step contributes directly to achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy).
Prof. Dr. Kenan Ahmed, President of ALKU, expressed his pleasure in collaborating with Al-Mustaqbal University, stating that the Iraqi university stands out as a promising model of academic development and global engagement, especially following his recent visit to Iraq and participation in the 3rd International Future Sustainability Week Festival.
Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKU) is a public Turkish university established in 2015 in Alanya, Antalya Province. It hosts over 14,000 students across various faculties, including Medicine, Engineering, Media, Economics, Tourism, and Health Sciences.
