As part of its commitment to social responsibility and the promotion of inclusive education and equal opportunities, Al-Mustaqbal University / Student Activities Department, represented by Mr. Sajjad Razaq Al-Hilali, participated in an international training workshop organized by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in coordination with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs – Commission for Persons with Disabilities and Special Needs / Department of Inclusion and Social Policies. The workshop was held in the Holy City of Karbala.

The workshop was entitled:
“Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities for Social Researchers and Administrators.”

During the event, the university’s representative highlighted the importance of establishing specialized units within universities dedicated to serving students with disabilities, providing them with academic and psychological support, and ensuring accessibility and mobility on campus to achieve their full integration into the educational environment.

Mr. Al-Hilali also called for supporting university and community initiatives that highlight the abilities of persons with disabilities and contribute to their integration into academic life and the labor market, stressing that these efforts are a cornerstone of community service, inclusive education, and best academic practices.

This participation reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s dedication to fulfilling its pioneering role in community service and supporting national and international efforts aimed at empowering persons with disabilities and strengthening their active role in building a more inclusive and equitable society.
