The College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a training course entitled “Solar Energy Systems: Scientific Fundamentals and Practical Applications”, delivered by Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abed, Dean of the College.
During the course, the Dean highlighted the scientific fundamentals of solar energy system installation, emphasizing the importance of adhering to precise technical standards to avoid common mistakes and ensure optimal performance. He also pointed out the vital role of solar energy in providing clean and sustainable alternatives that help address environmental and economic challenges.
The workshop was marked by a highly interactive atmosphere, as students actively participated in scientific discussions that enriched the session and enhanced their understanding of modern technologies in the field of renewable energy.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the Dean affirmed that the College attaches special importance to the field of sustainable energy, by supporting scientific activities and practical workshops that raise students’ awareness and qualify them to keep pace with global developments in this domain.
The organization of this workshop comes within the framework of the College’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy, by consolidating the concepts of renewable energy as a promising scientific and practical pathway for the future of Iraq.
