This step comes as part of our efforts to document important devices and enhance the technical understanding of students and technicians, ensuring the efficient and sustainable use of our equipment.
About the Vital Signs Monitor:
• Device Name: Patient Monitor.
• Manufacturer: Criticare Technologies, Inc. (USA).
• Primary Function: This vital signs monitor continuously monitors and controls a patient's vital signs. The device provides accurate measurements of: electrocardiogram (ECG), non-invasive blood pressure (NIBP), blood oxygen saturation (SpO2), and temperature, in addition to triggering alerts when any value deviates from the normal range.
What do the information panels include?
The new panels focus on the most important aspects of managing the device and maintaining its accurate operation. They include:
1. Components and Accessories: Identify essential parts such as ECG leads, NIBP cuffs in various sizes, SpO2 and temperature sensors, as well as batteries and printer paper.
2. Preventive Maintenance Mechanism: Details of the comprehensive maintenance plan (daily/weekly/monthly/annually), which begins with daily cable inspection, through weekly self-testing and NIBP cuff inspection, and ends with annual calibration and replacement of worn parts to ensure electrical safety and optimal performance.
We invite all department members and students to take advantage of these new resources to deepen their knowledge of one of the most important devices in healthcare.
