The Design Department at the College of Fine Arts, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized a specialized artistic workshop titled "Interior Design". The workshop was conducted by Assistant Professor Dr. Mahmoud Rzouqi Janhoon, Head of the Design Department, along with Lecturer Mohammed Salem and Instructor Nargis Reda Fakhri. The event was attended by several faculty members from the College of Fine Arts, including members of the college’s Workshops and Seminars Committee, represented by Dr. Hamza Alawi Masribat and Lecturer Hussein Lutfi.
The workshop focused on the engineering principles of interior design, highlighting advanced concepts that enhance students' skills and understanding of achieving visual and functional balance in interior spaces. Additionally, the session emphasized integrating sustainability principles into design by implementing strategies that conserve natural resources, improve energy efficiency, and optimize natural lighting. This aligns with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 11, which aims to "make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable."
As a result, students gained new engineering insights aimed at improving their artistic and scientific capabilities, preparing them for more efficient and sustainable projects. This initiative reflects the university's commitment to fostering innovation and sustainability across various design disciplines.
