Dr. Alaa Najm from the University of Baghdad was invited to deliver a lecture on "The Role of Art in Society," organized by instructors Hussein Latifi and Miad Aboud from the Department of Art Education. This activity was part of cultural initiatives aimed at promoting scientific and artistic interaction between universities.

The event began with a special theatrical performance presented by students from the Department of Art Education, under our supervision, highlighting important social issues. Afterward, Dr. Alaa Najm delivered her lecture, discussing the impact of art on society, how it can be used as a tool for social change, and the importance of art in addressing societal issues and stimulating critical thinking among individuals.

After the lecture, there was significant interaction from the audience of faculty members and students, engaging in discussions about television works that reflect societal realities and their impact on changing prevailing concepts and working toward a better reality.

This activity is part of the sustainability goals, particularly the fourth goal related to providing quality education. Such activities contribute to raising the artistic and cultural awareness of students and faculty members, fostering sustainable development within the community.
