The Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs at the College of Fine Arts, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Atiya Mousa Al-Saadi, participated in the Second Dubai Conference on Social and Human Sciences, held under the patronage of Iğdır State University of Turkey in collaboration with YEMAR Academy, in Dubai from January 6 to 8, 2025.
During the conference, Dr. Al-Saadi presented his research titled: "The Art of Design and Its References in Sumerian Plastic Achievements," focusing on the study of Sumerian artistic references and their influence on the formulation of contemporary design concepts. His work highlighted the importance of drawing inspiration from cultural heritage to support modern artistic innovation.
This participation aligns with the College of Fine Arts’ vision to promote scientific research based on cultural innovation, contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 9: "Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure," supporting the creation of more culturally and artistically sustainable communities.
Dr. Al-Saadi’s contribution was highly appreciated by the conference’s scientific committee for its original insights connecting the past with the present in a scholarly and creative manner.
