In the presence of Prof. Dr. Athraa Yahya Al-Hijjazi, Dean of the College of Dentistry, along with the distinguished faculty specialized in root canal treatment, the College of Dentistry at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a training course entitled “Fundamentals of Root Canal Fillings.” The course was held as part of the college’s continuous education programs, which aim to enhance the efficiency of dental professionals and refine their clinical skills. This reflects the college’s belief in the vital role of lifelong learning in keeping pace with scientific and technological advancements in dentistry and ensuring the provision of high-quality dental care to the community.

The course highlighted the latest concepts and techniques in endodontics, a core specialty in dentistry that focuses on preserving natural teeth by treating infected or inflamed dental pulp, thoroughly cleaning root canals, and sealing them to prevent reinfection and extend the tooth’s lifespan. The importance of successful root canal treatment was emphasized, as it directly contributes to improving oral health and patients’ quality of life, while reducing the need for tooth extractions and more complex restorative procedures.
