The College of Education's Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit organized a workshop entitled "The Educational and Psychological Guidance Dimensions of the Day of Ghadir," in pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals, which include Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and Goal 4 (Quality Education). The workshop was held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM in Hall 505 of the Humanitarian Building. Professor Dr. Thanaa Bahaa El-Din Abdullah, a counseling and psychotherapy specialist and head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the college, delivered the workshop. She highlighted the importance of the Day of Ghadir, which represents a significant turning point in Islamic history and a deeply rooted religious occasion. Its significance is not limited to doctrinal and political aspects, but also carries within it extremely important educational and psychological guidance dimensions. This workshop reviewed the most important educational and psychological guidance aspects learned from this momentous occasion. Exploring how this religious occasion can be transformed into a platform for self-development, character-building, and enhancing the mental health of individuals and society.
The workshop was attended by the esteemed Dean, Professor Dr. Ahmed Rawdan, and Professor Dr. Huda Hashim, Dean of the College of Fine Arts. A number of department heads, professors, lecturers, administrators, and students also attended.
At the conclusion of the workshop, a celebration was held to commemorate Eid al-Ghadir, and sweets were distributed on the occasion.
