Radiological Techniques Department

About the Department
Radiology Techniques Department of Al-Mustaqbal University was established during the Academic Year 2018-2019, offering a Bachelor Degree in Radiology. The Department teaches and trains Students scientifically and practically so that they would acquire the Skills they require to successfully engage in Radiology Techniques and their various applications.
It is remarkable to note that the Department Educational programs are carried out through Courses, which include Anatomy & Histology, Physiology, Pathology, Nursing Foundations, Radiographic Anatomy, Radiation Physics and Protection, Diagnostic Radiological Imaging Techniques, Ultrasound, MRI, and Computed Tomography.
To be a distinguished the Radiology Techniques Department program locally and internationally in preparing qualified radiologic technologists who are aware of the importance of quality and safety in medical imaging, capable of keeping pace with technological advancements, and effectively serving the needs of the healthcare community with professionalism.
To graduate scientifically and practically competent professionals in the field of radiological techniques, equipped with professional proficiency and up-to-date knowledge, committed to professional ethics, and contributing to community service and the enhancement of healthcare standards through distinguished education, hands-on training, and scientific research.
The Radiology Techniques Department at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Al-Mustaqbal University, aims to achieve the following objectives:
1. Graduates will identify the fundamental terminology and concepts related to radiological sciences, recognize the components of radiological equipment, and recall the principles of occupational safety.
2. Graduates will understand the physical principles underlying the operation of radiographic imaging equipment, explain image formation mechanisms, and interpret the significance of radiation doses within established safety limits.
3. Students will be trained to interact humanely and deliver efficient healthcare services to all categories of patients within healthcare institutions, according to their specialization.
4. Graduates will participate in applied research studies supported by Artificial Intelligence (AI) that contribute to enhancing the quality of diagnostic services and analyzing research outcomes related to radiation technologies.
5. Graduates will evaluate the performance efficiency of radiological equipment, assess the quality of diagnostic outputs, and conduct continuous professional performance reviews in accordance with ethical principles and safety standards.
6. Graduates will design customized imaging protocols, innovate technical solutions to reduce radiation doses, and participate in developing awareness programs on radiation safety.
