The Department of Biochemistry is a vital academic unit concerned with human metabolism, including anabolic and catabolic processes of carbohydrates, proteins, and lipids that generate energy and sustain physiological functions. The department emphasizes understanding metabolic disorders such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, liver and kidney dysfunctions, and hormonal imbalances.
