Based on the University Order No.( 7/35/3038) dated (2/12/2023), the Unit for Persons with Special Needs was established at our university. The unit is affiliated with the Citizens Affairs Division to provide guidance, care, and the necessary support for persons with special needs. The unit’s affiliation was later amended from the Central Student Activities Department to the Citizens Affairs Division in accordance with University Order No.(7/35/5252) dated (10/12/ 2025).
In its vision Special needs Unit aims to provide disabled People with full and adequate opportunities within the university, in accordance with their physical and academic abilities, and in line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and those of the University President so as to assist them in the provision of the resources with which they would promote their capabilities, foster self-reliance, and internalize their spirit of challenge, strength, and determination.
Al-Mustaqbal University has been keen on paying special care and attention to students with special needs so as to enable them to study and achieve success by facilitating and providing all the necessary resources at the University. Thereby, they would become reliable and useful individuals. Besides, our University aims to make academic life smooth and easy, in addition to encouraging them to develop their scientific and physical abilities, being equipped with what students do need for accomplishing success. Thus, Students with Special Needs would become scientifically and psychologically qualified for university life and practical life afterwards, highly qualified to get integrated into society after the wonderful experience they would have at our university that would enable them to build a family life within the community without fear or hesitation.
Al-Mustaqbal University seeks to enable people with special needs to live their daily life normally through : - Developing their scientific and social capabilities, integrating them into the new environment within the university, being fostered with a spirit of love, happiness, and psychological readiness - Providing direct support so as to promote efficiency that would be in line with their physical and scientific conditions - Involving them in activities and events organized at the university in order to overcome barriers of fear or embarrassment - Producing outstanding and effective graduates in society equipped with high competence, and after they have appropriately met their special needs - Integrating them into society after being highly qualified scientifically and psychologically.
