Closing ceremony of the third edition of the International Festival for Sustainable Development

The third edition of the International Festival for Sustainable Development concluded amidst a distinguished turnout and strong engagement from academic institutions, students, and those interested in environmental and development issues. This year's festival featured a focus on empowering youth and raising awareness of sustainability concepts through a variety of programs and activities. The Continuing Education Center booth was a prominent feature of the festival, continuing to offer activities, courses, and training programs aimed at consolidating the principles of sustainable education. The booth witnessed significant interaction from visitors, particularly students and those interested in professional development and lifelong learning. The Student Entrepreneurship Club also presented a distinguished initiative, launching a training program titled "Sustainability Basics," which aims to empower youth by providing them with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop innovative youth-led projects that contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. This program is part of broader efforts aimed at raising community awareness of the importance of integrating sustainability principles into various aspects of daily life and building a generation capable of making a real difference toward a more sustainable future. This festival is an inspiring platform for exchanging experiences, showcasing initiatives, and strengthening partnerships between various actors in the field of sustainable development, both locally and internationally.

Honoring Continuing Education Center members at the closing ceremony of the "Al-Mustaqbal Sustainability Week"

At the conclusion of the Al-Mustaqbal Sustainability Week activities, Al-Mustaqbal University President Professor Hassan Shaker Magdy honored members of the Center for Continuing Education who contributed effectively to the success of the awareness-raising and educational programs and activities held throughout the week. The ceremony included certificates of appreciation presented to faculty and administrative staff members, expressing pride in their constructive contributions to promoting sustainability concepts and linking them to continuing education. It is worth noting that Al-Mustaqbal Sustainability Week is an annual initiative aimed at instilling a culture of sustainability by engaging educational and community institutions in targeted and purposeful activities.

Research participation in the Second International Conference on the Future of Health Sciences and Technologies

As part of the activities of the third edition of the International Festival for Sustainable Development, Assistant Professor Dr. Reda Abdel-Ati Al-Fishawi, Director of the Center for Continuing Education, participated in the 2nd Al-Mustaqbal 2 International Conference of Sciences and Health Techniques, hosted by Al-Mustaqbal University with the participation of a select group of academics, researchers, and specialists from various Iraqi and Arab universities. The participation was achieved through the presentation of a peer-reviewed scientific research paper entitled: "Self-Management for Pregnant Women with Gestational Diabetes" This participation comes within the framework of the Center for Continuing Education's commitment to strengthening its academic and community presence, consolidating its role in supporting scientific research, opening up to pioneering scientific experiments, and engaging with priority health issues.

"Study in America" A panel discussion at the 3rd International Festival for Sustainable Development

Under the patronage of Professor Hassan Shaker Magdy, President of the University, the Center for Continuing Education organized an introductory dialogue session titled "Study in America" ​​as part of the activities of the third edition of the International Festival for Sustainable Development. The session hosted: Professor Philip Al-Sindi, Educational Counselor at the US Embassy Professor Samer Mahmoud, Alumni Coordinator for Cultural Exchange Programs at the US Embassy The session covered the following topics: The Higher Education System in the United States Graduate Programs (Master s and Doctorate) Steps for Applying and Being Accepted to American Universities Cultural Exchange Programs Offered by the US Embassy This event aimed to educate students and provide them with the necessary information to complete their studies in the United States, as well as to inform teachers of the opportunities available to them regarding graduate studies for Master s and Doctorate degrees.

The national exam for the subjects of (computer, English, and Arabic) continues at the Continuing Education Center - Al-Mustaqbal University

The Continuing Education Center at Al-Mustaqbal University continues to conduct the national exams for computer science, English, and Arabic for undergraduate students, according to the schedule approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The center has witnessed a steady turnout of students over the past few days, amid meticulous organization and direct supervision by administrative and technical staff to ensure a smooth examination process. All technical and service requirements have been provided to create a suitable environment for students, ensuring they perform at their best. The center's administration confirmed that the exams are conducted within academic safety controls, adhering to ministerial instructions regarding the integrity of exams and ensuring transparency in assessment. The national exam is a basic requirement for applying to graduate studies. The Continuing Education Center wishes all students participating in the exams success.

For the fifth consecutive day, the third edition of the Al-Mustaqbal University International Festival for Sustainable Development continues its diverse activities, with a remarkable turnout and strong engagement from students, faculty members, and participants from outside the university.

As part of the "Al-Mustaqbal Sustainability Week," the Center for Continuing Education continues its distinguished activities, showcasing available development courses and programs and explaining the registration process. This aims to support sustainable development goals and instill a culture of sustainable education within and beyond the university community. The fifth day also witnessed significant activity at the Student Clubs booth, where open dialogue sessions were organized to discuss several important topics, such as sustainability in education, innovation, and entrepreneurship, with a focus on the importance of integrating sustainability concepts into various disciplines and practical fields. The activities will continue until the end of the week, including interactive sessions, student exhibitions, and community initiatives, embodying the university's commitment to promoting the concept of sustainability as a central part of its academic and societal mission.

Presentation on "Student Clubs and Achieving Sustainable Development Goals"

As part of the activities of the fifth day of the third edition of the International Festival for Sustainable Development, Amir Nihad Jawad, Student Clubs Program Coordinator and a third-year student at the College of Dentistry at Al-Mustaqbal University, gave a presentation on student clubs, highlighting the Sustainability Club and its diverse participation during Sustainability Week. One of its most prominent initiatives was a field survey measuring university students' awareness of sustainable development concepts. The stages of the training program for building sustainable projects to achieve sustainable development goals and address the needs of the local community were also explained.

A dialogue session entitled "Human Development and Self-Development"

As part of the activities of the third edition of the International Festival for Sustainable Development, the Center for Continuing Education, in cooperation with the Inana Agency, the University of Basra, and the Women's Affairs Division, organized a distinguished dialogue session entitled: "Human Development and Self-Development." The session featured a group of academics and specialists, including: Dr. Lina Jamal Mohsen, Dr. Alaa Qahtan Nouri, Assistant Professor Dr. Reda Abdel-Ati Al-Fishawi, and Dr. Taiba Jassim Muhammad. The session was moderated by Dr. Sahra Qahtan. The session addressed a number of important topics in the field of self-development. Dr. Alaa Al-Mousawi spoke about self-motivation, decision-making, and striving for happiness. Dr. Lina Jamal focused on self-love, self-management, personality development, and building and working towards success. Dr. Taiba Jassim discussed eliminating comparisons, social development, and time management. Dr. Reda Abdel-Ati Al-Fishawi also addressed building confidence, the power of discipline, the challenges of self-development, and possible mechanisms for overcoming them. The session witnessed broad engagement from the audience, reflecting participants' interest in raising awareness of the importance of human development as a tool for achieving personal and societal sustainability.
