From Idea to Reality" Workshop at the Continuing Education Center"

The Continuing Education Center at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a workshop in collaboration with the Chemists Syndicate / Babylon Branch titled "From Idea to Reality", presented by the Syndicate’s Director, Mr. Hussein Ali Turki, along with several members of the syndicate. The workshop addressed mechanisms for transforming scientific ideas into practical and applicable projects, highlighting the importance of innovation and the role of chemical specializations in supporting local industries and developing modern technical solutions. The Center emphasized that this event is part of its efforts to strengthen collaboration with professional institutions and provide training programs that enhance the skills of students and researchers and broaden their scientific horizons.

Launch of the Artificial Intelligence Training Course at the Continuous Education Center – Al-Mustaqbal University

program titled “Artificial Intelligence: Concepts and Applications.” The course is part of the center’s strategic efforts to enhance digital competencies and provide advanced training programs aligned with global technological developments. The program is conducted under the supervision of the Center Director, Asst. Prof. Dr. Riyadh Hamed, who emphasized that the center is committed to offering specialized training courses that support the university’s vision in fostering innovation, scientific advancement, and modern technical skills. The course lectures are delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Musadaq Maher, an academic expert in artificial intelligence. The training covers fundamental AI concepts, machine learning principles, intelligent systems, and practical applications designed to provide participants with hands-on experience and applicable skills. The course aims to: Build a solid foundation in artificial intelligence concepts Strengthen participants’ analytical and technical skills Enable practical implementation of modern AI tools Support students and trainees in keeping pace with emerging digital technologies The launch of the course has been met with strong interest from students and professionals, reflecting the growing demand for AI-related skills and the center’s continued success in offering high-quality educational and training programs.

Launch of the First Aid Training Course at the Continuous Education Center

The Continuous Education Center at Al-Mustaqbal University has announced the launch of a new training course titled “First Aid,” which aims to equip participants with essential skills for handling emergency situations and saving lives. The course is delivered by Dr. Ismail Mohammed Kazem, who provides specialized instruction on managing injuries, performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), controlling bleeding, treating choking cases, in addition to hands-on practical training designed to enhance participants’ applied skills. This course comes as part of the center’s ongoing efforts to promote health awareness and develop participants’ abilities in safety and first aid response.

Launch of the Faculty and Staff Development Course at Al-Mustaqbal University

The Faculty and Staff Development Course organized by the Continuing Education Center at Al-Mustaqbal University has officially commenced, under the patronage of the University President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and supervision of the University Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Munther Fadhil. The course aims to enhance the efficiency of academic and administrative staff and develop their professional and academic skills, keeping pace with the latest methods in higher education and modern administration, and contributing to the improvement of institutional performance within the university. During the opening ceremony, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi emphasized the importance of investing in human resources as a fundamental pillar for advancing the educational process and achieving academic excellence, praising the efforts of the Continuing Education Center in preparing and implementing training programs that meet the needs of both the university and the broader community.

Launch of the Preparatory Course for the National English Exam at the Continuing Education Center – Al-Mustaqbal University

The Continuing Education Center at Al-Mustaqbal University held its annual meeting to discuss the training course plan for the 2025–2026 academic year. The meeting, chaired by Asst. Prof. Dr. Riyadh Hamed, Director of the Center, witnessed the active participation of the center’s staff and specialized faculty members. Dr. Riyadh Hamed opened the meeting with a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of developing and expanding continuing education programs in line with the needs of the labor market and the aspirations of the academic community. He also stressed the necessity of keeping pace with modern developments in education and training, as well as introducing new specializations that meet the needs of students and the local community. During the meeting, a number of ideas and proposals were presented regarding upcoming training courses, including programs in modern technology, management, leadership, and languages. The participants also highlighted the importance of expanding professional courses aimed at enhancing students’ and graduates’ practical skills. Discussions also covered mechanisms to strengthen cooperation with local and international institutions to offer specialized training programs. Participants explored ways to improve registration and online assessment systems and to make greater use of distance learning platforms to reach a wider audience of trainees. At the conclusion of the meeting, a follow-up committee was formed to oversee the implementation of the training plan for the upcoming academic year and to distribute tasks to ensure smooth and efficient workflow. Attendees expressed their readiness to work diligently to achieve the desired goals and reaffirmed their commitment to providing a distinguished educational experience for participants in the training programs.

Launch of the IELTS Course at the Continuing Education Center – Al-Mustaqbal University

The Continuing Education Center at Al-Mustaqbal University has launched a new training course for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), with the participation of a group of students and graduates eager to enhance their English language skills and prepare effectively for the exam. The course aims to develop participants’ English proficiency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking, while familiarizing them with the structure of the IELTS test and effective answering techniques that can help them achieve high scores. The program is conducted under the supervision of qualified and experienced English language instructors, using the latest teaching methodologies and interactive training tools that allow participants to practice the language in a practical, exam-like environment. Asst. Prof. Dr. Riyadh Hamed, Director of the Continuing Education Center, emphasized that this course is part of the center’s plan to offer high-quality training programs designed to empower students academically and professionally, and to help them meet admission requirements for postgraduate studies both in Iraq and abroad. **Al-Mustaqbal University Strengthens Partnership with State Institutions through Advanced Training Course for Babylon Electricity Staff**

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the university's Center for Continuing Education organized a specialized training course targeting a select group of staff from the Babylon Electricity Department. This initiative reflects the university’s commitment to supporting professional development programs and enhancing the efficiency of human resources in vital sectors. The course was inaugurated by Dr. Riyadh Hamed, Director of the Center for Continuing Education, who emphasized in his opening remarks the pivotal role played by Al-Mustaqbal University in transferring academic expertise and providing innovative training solutions that meet the needs of state institutions and keep pace with global technological advancements. The Center for Continuing Education Organizes a Scientific Workshop on “Human Rights”

Under the generous patronage of Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and as part of the university’s efforts to enhance institutional accreditation and develop the scientific and intellectual capacities of its faculty and staff, the Center for Continuing Education organized a scientific workshop entitled “Human Rights.” The session was coordinated and moderated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Rida Abdul Aati Al-Feshawi, Director of the Center for Continuing Education, and was delivered by Prof. Dr. Ammar Abbas Al-Husseini, Dean of the College of Law at Al-Mustaqbal University. The workshop was attended by a number of faculty members and administrative staff, and witnessed notable interaction and fruitful discussions. The lecture covered several key themes, including: General concepts of human rights in both international and national law. The historical development of human rights frameworks. The relationship between public freedoms and legal responsibility. The role of academic institutions in promoting a culture of human rights. The constitutional and legislative framework of human rights in Iraq. This workshop comes as part of a series of activities organized by the Center for Continuing Education, aimed at developing professional competencies and promoting legal and human rights awareness within the university community.
