The Center for Continuing Education at Al-Mustaqbal University has officially launched the SPSS Statistical Analysis Training Course, held under the generous patronage of the University President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and organized under the direct supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Rida Abdul Aati Al-Feshawi, Director of the Center for Continuing Education. This specialized training program aims to develop participants’ statistical skills and enable them to use SPSS software efficiently, through practical and applied lectures delivered by distinguished academic experts: Dr. Bashar Khalid Ali Hussein Head of the Department of Statistics – College of Administration and Economics – University of Karbala Dr. Zain Al-Abideen Aboud Kazem Rapporteur of the Department of Financial and Banking Sciences – College of Administrative Sciences – Al-Mustaqbal University The course covers a range of both fundamental and advanced topics, including: Basics of the program and data entry mechanisms Questionnaire design and data coding in SPSS Reliability testing (Cronbach’s Alpha) Normal distribution, descriptive statistics, and graphical representation Non-parametric tests Correlation and regression measures Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) Hands-on training with real data and applied examples Evaluation tests to measure participants’ learning outcomes This program comes as part of the Center’s ongoing mission to support scientific research and enhance statistical and technical skills among students, researchers, and faculty members—contributing to improved academic and research performance both within and beyond the university. Under the generous patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, the “Computer Camp – Programming and Artificial Intelligence Course” was launched by the Center for Continuing Education at Al-Mustaqbal University, with the participation of a group of students and individuals interested in programming and artificial intelligence applications. The course aimed to equip participants with both fundamental and advanced technical skills through practical, hands-on training in the Python programming language, as well as an introduction to artificial intelligence concepts and their real-world applications. The five-day program included four days of online training via Google Meet, followed by a final in-person session dedicated to project implementation and the awarding of certificates. The training was delivered by Ammar Abdul Kareem Mubarak, a professional programmer and founder of Webe Software Solutions, and Asst. Lecturer Yasmeen Mohammed Fadhel, a certified trainer at the Center for Continuing Education – Al-Mustaqbal University. Their sessions combined theoretical instruction with applied exercises. Key topics of the course included: Basics of Python programming and developing the first practical project Applying programming concepts through loops, conditions, and lists Introduction to artificial intelligence with practical examples Exploration of AI libraries and frameworks such as NumPy, Pandas, and TensorFlow Designing and testing an interactive chatbot The program witnessed remarkable engagement from participants, who expressed great interest in the practical and interactive approach of the training. This contributed to strengthening their understanding of programming and AI concepts and enabled them to apply the acquired skills in real-world contexts. The course was organized under the direct supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Rida Abdul Aati Al-Feshawi, Director of the Center for Continuing Education, as part of a series of specialized programs delivered by the Center to develop the competencies of students and graduates, empowering them with the digital skills required in today’s labor market. Under the patronage of the President of the University of Al-Mustaqbal, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, the Sustainable Development Division, in cooperation with the Center for Continuing Education, organized an online workshop entitled “International Day of Clean Air” on Sunday, September 7, 2025. The workshop featured distinguished experts and academics. Ms. Saadia Faleh Hassoun, Director of Together for the Protection of Human and Environment Association, delivered a lecture on the current state of air quality and its impact on human health and the environment. Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Hosni Ibrahim from Menoufia University – Arab Republic of Egypt, presented a scientific lecture addressing environmental challenges related to air pollution. From the University of Al-Mustaqbal, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ammar Abdul-Kadhim discussed the role of academic institutions in raising environmental awareness and developing strategies to combat pollution. Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Mostafa Ahmed Ragab from the Middle Technical University presented practical experiences and proposed solutions to improve air quality in Iraqi cities. At the conclusion of the workshop, participants emphasized the importance of cooperation between universities, research institutions, and civil society organizations to enhance environmental awareness and adopt initiatives that contribute to improving air quality and protecting public health.
The Continuing Education Center at Al-Mustaqbal University has launched the professional camp for the English language course, delivered by Lecturer Zeinab Kareem from the College of Law. The camp aims to enhance participants’ English language skills and strengthen their academic and professional communication abilities, thereby contributing to the development of their competencies in line with labor market requirements. Lecturer Zeinab Kareem emphasized that this course comes as part of supporting the educational and developmental journey of students and graduates, focusing on the practical and professional aspects of the language to boost their future success opportunities. The camp witnessed distinguished participation and positive interaction from the trainees, reflecting Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to providing high-quality programs that advance students’ skills and open up broader horizons in their fields of specialization.
As part of the scientific and academic cooperation agreement between Al-Mustaqbal University (Iraq) and Mansoura University (Egypt), the Center for Continuing Education at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a specialized academic workshop on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, entitled: "Strategies for Reliable International Publishing" The workshop was held under the esteemed patronage of: Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majid, President of Al-Mustaqbal University Prof. Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University Workshop Speakers: Prof. Dr. Nada Khazaal Kadhim Coordinator of the Central Promotions Committee at Al-Mustaqbal University – College of Pharmacy, and Chair of the Promotions Committee – College of Nursing, University of Babylon. Prof. Dr. Khaled Basheer Saleem Professor of Organic Chemistry and Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research – Faculty of Pharmacy, Mansoura University. The workshop witnessed active participation from faculty members, researchers, and postgraduate students. Discussions focused on modern strategies in international academic publishing, including: How to choose indexed and reputable scientific journals Publishing standards and evaluation criteria for databases such as Scopus and Web of Science Common challenges facing Arab researchers in international publishing Professional approaches to overcoming such challenges and enhancing research visibility This workshop is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen scientific collaboration between Al-Mustaqbal University and Mansoura University, and reflects Al-Mustaqbal University's dedication to enhancing the research competencies of its faculty and researchers, thereby contributing to the university’s international ranking and academic reputation.

Under the patronage of the Honorable President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the Continuing Education Center at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a specialized online workshop titled "Artificial Intelligence and Breast Cancer Detection", with the participation of a number of academics, researchers, and students from both Iraq and abroad. This workshop was held in cooperation with Mansoura University in the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the College of Medical and Health Technologies, with the aim of shedding light on modern applications of artificial intelligence in the medical field—particularly in the early detection of breast cancer, which remains one of the most critical health challenges worldwide. The workshop covered several key themes, including: An introduction to the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and machine learning Applications of AI in analyzing medical images (such as mammograms) The role of smart algorithms in supporting medical decision-making and improving tumor diagnosis accuracy Case studies and recent research related to early breast cancer detection The workshop was conducted by a group of specialized lecturers in artificial intelligence and medical sciences. It witnessed active engagement from participants and valuable scientific discussions that enriched the event. The Director of the Continuing Education Center emphasized that this workshop is part of a series of scientific activities aimed at linking academic knowledge with modern technological advancements and promoting scientific collaboration with Arab and international universities.
