First Panel Discussion
This session was moderated by Prof. Dr. Kazem Fentel Sultani, and included a series of lectures presented by a group of academics and experts:
• Prof. Ali Abdel Abbas Al-Bakri, Chairman of the National Council for Program Accreditation for Technical Engineering Education at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, presented his lecture entitled:
"Iraqi patents and their role in the sustainable development of the water and electricity sectors."
• Expert Dr. Naseer Karim Kassem, Chairman of the National Team for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Projects at the Prime Minister s Office, addressed in his lecture the topic:
"Smart solutions in the face of the electric power crisis."
• Prof. Dr. Abdulhadi Nehme Khalifa, from the Central Technical University - Faculty of Technical Engineering in Baghdad, delivered his lecture on:
"The feasibility of using the home photovoltaic panel system in Iraq."
• Mr. Farouk Hassan Ali, from the University of Babylon - Faculty of Engineering, spoke in his lecture about:
"The Effectiveness of Solar Cooling in Iraq and the Arabian Gulf Countries: Developments and Challenges."
This session focused on the most prominent challenges and opportunities associated with the development of renewable energy sources, stressing the importance of cooperation between academic and industrial sectors to achieve sustainable development.
Second Dialogue Session
Moderated by Prof. Dr. Qusay Rashid Abdul Amir, it included four specialized lectures presented by a group of academics:
• Prof. Dr. Mohammed Fadel Al-Daoudi, from Al-Qadisiyah University - Faculty of Engineering, addressed in his lecture the topic of:
"Biofuels towards a green and safe energy Al-Mustaqbal."
• Assistant Professor Dr. Samer Mohamed Abdel Halim, from the University of Babylon - Faculty of Engineering, delivered his lecture on:
"Use ammonia as a renewable fuel in internal combustion systems."
• Teacher Dr. Hassan Mowaffaq Ghani, from Al-Mustaqbal University - Future Center for Energy Research, presented in his lecture:
"Prospects and future of electricity generation in Iraq."
• Teacher Dr. Sabreen Sabah Toman, Director of Modern Irrigation Technologies at the Directorate of Agriculture of Babylon, talked about:
"Sustainable agricultural methods to address water scarcity caused by climate change in Iraq."
This session highlighted the latest technologies and innovations in clean energy, and reviewed successful pilot projects that are a practical guide to the implementation of renewable energy solutions at the local level.
Attendance of academic and government figures
The forum witnessed the presence of heads of departments and experts in this field from the universities of Karbala, Babylon, Kufa, Qadisiyah, and the Central Technical University, in addition to a group of important figures from government and private institutions, most notably:
• Eng. Sarmad Al-Awadi - Director of Middle Euphrates Electricity.
• Eng. Hussein Shamkhi - Director of Petroleum Products Company.
• A number of managers of administrative units in government institutions.
• Mr. Ali Kamouneh - Representative of the United Nations in the province of Babylon.

The presence of these personalities has enriched dialogue and exchange of experiences, enhancing the importance of cooperation between various entities to achieve a Al-Mustaqbal vision based on clean energy and sustainability.
