The Training, Employment, and Follow-up Division Participates in Organizing Job Interviews in Cooperation with the College of Engineering Technologies and Al-Muttaheda Packaging Company

As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance employment opportunities and strengthen cooperation with private sector institutions, the College of Engineering Technologies, with the participation of the Training, Employment, and Follow-up Division, organized job interviews for applicants applying for positions announced by Al-Muttaheda Packaging Company. This initiative comes ضمن the College’s efforts to support its graduates and prepare them for effective integration into the labor market The interviews were conducted under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering Technologies, with the attendance of Dr. Iman Abdul Aziz, Head of the Training, Employment, and Follow-up Division, and with the participation of a specialized committee that evaluated applicants according to approved professional criteria. The evaluation focused on academic aspects, technical skills, and practical experience, in line with job requirements and labor market needs The Deanship of the College of Engineering Technologies affirmed that this step is part of its strategic plan aimed at strengthening partnerships with the private sector and equipping graduates with practical skills that meet labor market requirements, thereby supporting their professional careers and enhancing their job readiness At the conclusion of the event, the organizing body expressed its best wishes for success to all applicants, wishing them a promising professional future, and reaffirmed its commitment to continued cooperation with the Training, Employment, and Follow-up Division in implementing further activities that contribute to achieving alignment between educational outcomes and labor market needs

Al-Mustaqbal University Enhances Students' Skills with a Training Workshop on Effective Communication

In line with the directives of Al-Mustaqbal University President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, to support students and develop the soft skills required in the job market, the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Division organized a specialized training workshop titled "Soft Skills - Effective Communication Skills." This workshop is part of a series of programs designed to enhance students' readiness and empower them professionally. The workshop was delivered by the internationally certified trainer, Dr. Mohammed Ziyad from SERA Company, who discussed methods of effective communication, persuasion skills, the art of active listening, and professional interaction techniques within workplace environments. The session also included practical exercises that enabled students to apply the concepts and strengthen their personal skills. At the beginning of the workshop, Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of soft skills as a fundamental pillar in shaping students' academic and professional personalities. He noted that possessing communication, teamwork, and leadership skills has become a key requirement for success across various sectors. He also commended the university units for providing high-quality training programs that align with labor market needs. The workshop concluded with the presentation of appreciation shields to the training team, acknowledging their cooperation and efforts in supporting the development of students' skills. The event witnessed strong participation from students across the university's colleges, with 100 male and female students attending from different disciplines-reflecting their keen interest in developing their personal and professional skills. Through such initiatives, Al-Mustaqbal University reaffirms its ongoing commitment to preparing students capable of competing in the job market by equipping them with the cognitive and soft skills required for modern careers across diverse sectors.

Participation of the Career Development Division in the "Sustainability Ambassadors" Camp at Babylon Tourist Resort

The Career Development Division at Al-Mustaqbal University participated in the “Sustainability Ambassadors” camp held at the Babylon Tourist Resort, in cooperation with the Babylon Provincial Council and with the involvement of several local and international entities concerned with sustainability and development. During the camp, Asst. Lect. Omaima Kadhim Al-Taee, Head of the Career Development Division, met with the German tourism delegation taking part in the event. She presented an overview of Al-Mustaqbal University and its academic programs, in addition to outlining the division’s efforts in supporting students and graduates, enhancing their competencies, and organizing training programs aligned with labor-market requirements. Al-Taee further discussed with the delegation potential avenues for future collaboration, particularly in the domains of sustainable tourism, professional training, and the exchange of expertise, in a manner that contributes to expanding opportunities available to the university’s students and alumni. The participation of the Career Development, Employment, and Follow-up Division in this camp reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s strategic commitment to advancing sustainability initiatives and strengthening partnerships with local and international institutions, in line with its vision of empowering youth and fostering their professional development.

Al-Mustaqbal University Explores Cooperation Opportunities with Al-Mutahida Company to Empower Graduates and Enhance Employability

As part of its strategic efforts to strengthen partnerships with the industrial sector and create real job opportunities for its graduates, Al-Mustaqbal University welcomed a delegation from Al-Mutahida Company for Packaging Materials and Plastic Industries Ltd. The meeting, chaired by Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, discussed cooperation in student training, graduate employment, and capacity-building programs to enhance technical and administrative skills. Al-Mutahida Company, one of Iraq’s largest packaging producers based in Babel Governorate, plans to launch a granule production plant by 2028. Both sides emphasized building a strategic partnership to support young talents and align university outcomes with modern labor market needs. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy and representatives from the Career Development and University President’s Offices. As part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s ongoing commitment to enhancing graduate employability and promoting academic–industrial integration, a coordination meeting was held at the Office of Scientific and Academic Supervision. The meeting brought together representatives from the Career Development Division (CDD) at the University Presidency and college liaisons, to review and align employment and training plans for the academic year 2025–2026. Discussions focused on developing mechanisms to connect students and graduates with the private sector, implementing specialized training programs, and activating partnerships with leading companies and institutions. The participants emphasized the importance of measurable outcomes, continuous evaluation, and aligning university initiatives with the National Employment Strategy and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Career Development Division at Al-Mustaqbal University marked a distinguished presence in the online workshop held on Sunday, September 28, 2025, entitled “From Idea to Fundraising – The Journey of an Entrepreneur and How to Support Them”, organized under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as part of the capacity-building program for Science and Technology Parks management. The division was represented by Ms. Omaima Kazem – Head of Career Development Division, who actively engaged in exploring practical strategies to transform ideas into scalable entrepreneurial projects, benefiting from the expertise of Fermadom in supporting entrepreneurs. The workshop covered key topics including: The entrepreneur’s journey from idea conception to fundraising. The pivotal role of tech incubators in mentoring, training, and facilitating access to investors. Common mistakes to avoid, such as entering the market without proper research or seeking funding before developing a prototype. Requirements for attracting investment, including preparing a professional Pitch Deck and building a team with clear vision and execution capabilities. The workshop emphasized the importance of continuous learning and openness to international experiences, encouraging participants to study global best practices, examine successful case studies, and benefit from specialized digital training courses to enhance the skills of administrative staff and young entrepreneurs.
