Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, the activities of the Fifth Annual Al-Mustaqbal Book Fair were inaugurated on Saturday morning, April 4, 2026, under the slogan “Our Book, Our Future,” in the presence of a number of the university’s faculty members, students, and a distinguished group of intellectuals and individuals interested in cultural affairs.
The opening ceremony included a speech delivered on behalf of the university presidency by Professor Dr. Abbas Abd Ali Al-Bawi, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, in which he emphasized the importance of the fair as a knowledge platform that contributes to promoting culture, spreading scientific awareness, and strengthening students’ connection with books as one of the most important sources of knowledge.
The fair features the participation of 25 publishers from various countries, presenting a wide range of scientific and literary publications, in addition to a diverse cultural program that includes meetings with writers and poets, theatrical performances, and art exhibitions.
