ALMUSTAQBAL ENERGY RESEARCH Center Meets with Giza Cables Company on the Sidelines of the Iraq Energy and Renewable Energy Conference Staff from the Future Center for Energy Research, affiliated with ALMUSTAQBAL University, participated in the Iraq Energy and Renewable Energy Conference, held at the Baghdad International Fairgrounds. The conference was attended by leading specialists, experts, and local and international companies operating in the energy and renewable energy sector. The Center's participation included an important scientific and professional meeting with Giza Cables Company, a leading manufacturer of electrical cables and energy solutions. The meeting explored potential areas of collaboration between the two parties to enhance scientific research and build academic and practical capacity. The Center for Energy Research was represented at the meeting by: • Dr. Salwan Obeid, Director of the Center • Dr. Mohammed Maitham • Eng. Ali Nael • Eng. Israa Mohammed The meeting focused on establishing joint scientific and applied workshops in the fields of energy and renewable energy. It also addressed the possibility of providing training opportunities for Future University students at the company in the future, which would contribute to strengthening their practical skills and connecting them with the job market and the demands of the industrial sector. Discussions also took place regarding the organization of a future scientific or technical conference in Iraq in cooperation with the Giza Company. A formal invitation was extended to a company delegation to visit Iraq and Future University, with the aim of strengthening academic and industrial ties and exchanging expertise and experiences in the fields of energy and electrical infrastructure. This meeting aligns with the Future Center for Energy Research's vision of expanding international partnerships and engaging with leading regional and global companies and institutions. This vision supports scientific research and contributes to achieving sustainable development and advancing the energy sector in Iraq. The Center's delegation emphasized the importance of continued communication and coordination with the Egyptian Giza Company, given its extensive experience and advanced technologies, which can be leveraged in future research and training projects.
