Al-Mustaqbal Energy Research Center Conducts Scientific Visit to Baghdad Center for Renewable Energy and Sustainability As part of its efforts to enhance scientific cooperation and exchange research expertise, Al-Mustaqbal Energy Research Center, affiliated with Al-Mustaqbal University, conducted a scientific visit to the Baghdad Center for Renewable Energy and Sustainability, located at the Baghdad International Fairgrounds. The visit was attended by the center's director, Dr. Salwan Obeid, and several members of the center's research staff. The visit aimed to learn about the Baghdad Center for Renewable Energy and Sustainability's operational mechanisms, its implemented projects, and its research and awareness programs in the fields of renewable energy and environmental sustainability. It also provided an opportunity to discuss prospects for joint cooperation between the two centers in scientific research, specialized training, and academic and practical capacity building. During the visit, scientific and technical views and expertise were exchanged on developing solar energy projects, promoting a culture of sustainability and clean energy, and supporting research initiatives that contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. The importance of research and institutional partnerships between scientific centers to support and develop the renewable energy sector in Iraq was emphasized. The two sides also discussed ways to enhance future cooperation through: • Organizing joint workshops and scientific seminars • Implementing training programs for researchers and students • Exchanging expertise in research and practical applications • Supporting scientific projects with societal and environmental impact At the conclusion of the visit, both parties expressed their full readiness to explore future avenues of cooperation that will serve researchers and students, promote applied scientific research, and support the national drive towards clean and sustainable energy in Iraq.
