Professor Hassan Shaker Majdy, President of Almustaqbal University, participated in the World Future Energy Summit 2026 in Abu Dhabi, held from January 13-15, 2026, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), as part of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026, which was held under the theme "A Integrated Launch Towards the Future." The summit is considered one of the most prominent global events in the sustainable energy and technological innovation sector. The summit brought together a select group of leaders, innovators, and experts from around the world to develop practical strategies for achieving a sustainable future by attracting advanced solutions in renewable energy, smart cities, water technologies, developing climate finance markets, and strengthening international cooperation in the field of clean energy. The event witnessed the participation of more than 700 international companies, in addition to a "Green House" area dedicated to startups, an interactive platform for clean technologies, and the organization of various sustainability activities. During his participation, the University President toured the exhibition pavilions and participating companies, where he explored the latest technological solutions and AI-based technologies, innovations in climate finance, and food and water security. He also interacted with investors, decision-makers, and private sector partners, assessing opportunities for collaboration on joint projects and programs. The tour included a visit to the pavilion of Masdar, the event's sponsor and the Sheikh Zayed Sustainability Prize. During his participation, the University President also attended some of the panel discussions that showcased the visions of future world leaders for energy. He also participated in the activities of the International Renewable Energy Agency's General Assembly, which emphasized the importance of collective action to reduce costs and achieve ambitious strategic goals in the field of sustainability. This participation reflects Future University's commitment to keeping pace with the latest global trends and solidifying its position as a key driver for achieving a sustainable future that fosters international cooperation and serves development efforts at both the regional and international levels.
