Al-Mustaqbal University held a distinguished official ceremony to mark the inauguration of the Grand Celebration Hall, under the patronage and in the presence of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi. The event coincided with the notable success of the European–Asian Universities Forum (EURAS Academy 2026), as well as the achievement of advanced positions by several academic departments in the University within the Iraqi national rankings The inauguration of the hall represents a qualitative shift in the University’s facilities, as it has been designed to serve as an integrated venue for hosting conferences, forums, and scientific and cultural activities, thereby enhancing the academic environment and supporting interaction at both the local and international levels In his speech during the ceremony, the President of the University affirmed that Al-Mustaqbal University is moving steadily toward consolidating its position among leading universities, noting that the achievements realized reflect a clear policy based on scientific planning, infrastructure development, and the empowerment of human resources. He also praised the efforts of the academic, administrative, and technical staff and their pivotal role in achieving these successes In turn, the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Professor Dr. Mudhafar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, stated that hosting EURAS Academy 2026 represents an unprecedented achievement at the level of Iraqi universities, given the forum’s broad international participation and the presence of representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the President of the European–Asian Universities Union (EURAS), as well as a distinguished group of academic leaders and experts He pointed out that this selection reflects the confidence of international academic institutions in Al-Mustaqbal University and the progress it has achieved in the fields of education quality, scientific research, and international academic openness The ceremony included introductory segments highlighting the University’s journey and achievements, in addition to showcasing the key milestones of EURAS Academy 2026. It also witnessed the honoring of several committees and staff members who contributed to the attainment of advanced rankings by the University’s academic departments in the Iraqi classification system The event concluded with an emphasis on Al-Mustaqbal University’s continued commitment to its developmental approach and the strengthening of its international academic presence, contributing to the advancement of higher education in Iraq and the improvement of its outcomes
