As part of its commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, a delegation from the Continuing Education Center at Al-Mustaqbal University conducted a field visit to the Hematology Center at Babylon Teaching Hospital for Women and Children. The delegation consisted of Assistant Professor Reda Abdel-Ati Al-Fishawi, Director of the Continuing Education Center, along with Professor Abdul Ali Dakhel, Assistant Director of the Center, and a number of Continuing Education Center staff. During the visit, the delegation met with Dr. Muhannad Al-Suwaidi, Director of the Hospital, where they discussed future cooperation in the areas of training and health education. They also discussed providing psychological support to patients and ways to cope with blood diseases, as well as distributing gifts to sick children in a humanitarian gesture aimed at raising their morale and bringing joy to their hearts. The visit also included a tour of the hospital's departments, where health awareness was promoted among patients and staff. This visit is part of Al-Mustaqbal University's initiatives to enhance its community role and activate partnerships with healthcare institutions in line with its humanitarian and educational mission. The Center Director also presented the training and development programs offered by the Continuing Education Center at Al-Mustaqbal University, which will enhance joint cooperation between the university and the hospital. Dr. Murtadha Ahmed, Head of the Medical Education Center at the hospital, praised the important role of these initiatives. Dr. Kawthar Madani, Head of Education and Citizen Affairs, emphasized the importance of ongoing cooperation between educational and healthcare providers. At the conclusion of the visit, the hospital director expressed his deep gratitude to Al-Mustaqbal University for this humanitarian initiative, commending its significant role in supporting patients and fostering sustainable collaboration with healthcare institutions.
