Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, announced that our University has officially become a Member at the International Association of Universities (IAU), a UNESCO-Affiliated Organization headquartered in Paris. This Organization works on promoting Academic & Research Collaboration among Higher Education Institutions Worldwide. It is remarkable to note however that such Achievement marks a Significant Milestone, which reflects Al-Mustaqbal University s Commitment to Excellence in the Field of Higher Education and its Openness to International Cooperation. Besides, the accomplishment highlights the University’s Efforts to enhance its Global Presence, expand its Academic Network, and effectively contributing to the development of a World-Class Educational Environment. It is worth noting that through this Membership, the University confirms its steadfast dedication to Academic Quality and Continuous Development, as well as its adherence to providing Educational and Research Opportunities for its Students and Academic Staff. Furthermore, this affiliation offers a Valuable Platform that would lead to participating in many International Initiatives, exchanging Expertise, and playing an essential role in the shaping of Higher Education Policies. There is no doubt that the Division of Rehabilitation, Employment & Follow-Up has been playing an active role in the enhancement of the University’s Position at Worldwide Levels by strengthening Communication with Global Academic Organizations, where Quality Standards shall be highly implemented, being reflected in the qualification of Graduates who are capable of competing at both Local and International Job Markets. Finally, we should note that the International Association of Universities is deemed one of the most prominent Global Bodies in the Higher Education Sector, with Member Institutions from over 120 Countries. It is worth noting however that the number of Iraqi Universities affiliated with the IAU remains limited and mostly concentrated at Kurdistan Region, and thus Al-Mustaqbal University Membership can be taken as a notable landmark that would help in representing Iraqi Higher Education on the International Stage. This step after all is considered as part of Al-Mustaqbal University Strategy to enhance its Global Standing and provide an Educational Environment grounded in Innovation and Excellence, aimed at preparing a Generation of Leaders and Innovators capable of making a Positive Impact on Society.
