Under the generous patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy, the esteemed President of the University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Muzaffar Al-Zuhairi, the esteemed Scientific and Academic Supervisor, the specialized training program in occupational health and safety concluded. The program was organized by the Continuing Education Center at Al-Mustaqbal University in cooperation with the Babylon Electricity Department. This program falls within the framework of the university's commitment to supporting occupational safety practices and promoting a safe work environment. It aims to raise the efficiency of workers in the electricity sector and develop their knowledge and skills in the areas of occupational hazard prevention, thus contributing to reducing accidents and ensuring the continuity of work with high quality and efficiency. This training program also achieves Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) of the Sustainable Development Goals. The training program covered a range of vital topics, most notably: Basic concepts and principles of occupational health and safety Methods and techniques for assessing risks in various work environments Proper use of personal protective equipment First aid procedures and handling emergency incidents Strategies for reducing occupational accidents and raising awareness of safe practices Basic life support (BLS) for field workers The program witnessed remarkable interaction from participants, who showed great interest in the theoretical lectures and practical workshops presented by a group of academics and specialists in this field. In his closing remarks, Professor Muzaffar Al-Zuhairi emphasized that Al-Mustaqbal University, through the Center for Continuing Education, continues to implement quality programs aimed at raising the level of professional performance and serving state institutions and the local community. He praised the fruitful cooperation with the Babylon Electricity Department. For her part, Assistant Professor Dr. Reda Abdel-Ati El-Fishawy, Director of the Continuing Education Center, explained that this course is part of a series of development programs aimed at spreading a culture of occupational safety and enhancing the efficiency of technical and engineering personnel, in accordance with the highest locally and internationally recognized standards. At the conclusion of the program, the lecturers and participants were honored in recognition of their effective contributions and commitment to applying the acquired concepts to serve the work environment and enhance public safety.
