As part of its strategic vision to empower students and graduates and enhance their integration into the labor market, the CDD at the University of Al-Mustaqbal participated in the specialized workshop entitled “Development of Business Incubators,” organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and hosted by the University of Baghdad – College of Physical Education on May 25–26, 2025. Officially inaugurated by His Excellency the Deputy Minister, Prof. Dr. Haider Abd Dahad, the workshop emphasized embedding innovation systems in Iraqi universities and directing youth potential toward entrepreneurship as a cornerstone of sustainable national development. The event featured distinguished academic and international participants and explored effective models for establishing university incubators, strategies for integrating technological and market infrastructures, and the importance of interdisciplinary leadership in advancing entrepreneurial initiatives. Drawing from leading Iranian university experiences, the workshop offered best practices in incubator management and innovation-based education. The University of Al-Mustaqbal’s active engagement through the CDD led to several key outcomes, including proposing the establishment of a dedicated business incubator equipped with co-working spaces and digital infrastructure, enhancing academic partnerships—particularly with Iranian institutions—launching a national network of university career centers, and integrating innovation, entrepreneurship, and strategic planning into student training. This participation underscores the university’s commitment to its developmental mission through innovation, collaboration, and fostering a knowledge-based economy aligned with Iraq’s vision for a resilient and modern future.
