As part of the summer training activities held at the Al-Mustaqbal Center for Energy Research, Prof. Dr. Sulwan Ubaid Waheed – Director of the Center – delivered a valuable scientific lecture that focused on the fundamental concepts of energy and its importance for the present and future of Iraq, with a particular emphasis on renewable energy sources, especially solar energy. During the lecture, he provided a detailed explanation of the devices used to measure the performance and capacity of solar panels, voltage and current measuring instruments, and tools for analyzing efficiency under different solar radiation conditions. He clarified the working mechanisms of each device and their significance in evaluating the quality of solar systems during installation and after operation. The lecture was distinguished by a practical, real-world component that encouraged student interaction and questions. It also helped enhance their hands-on understanding of how to test solar panels and determine their production capacity, directly connecting them with the tools and concepts engineers need in the job market. These activities come as part of the Al-Mustaqbal Center’s commitment to providing high-quality training content that contributes to preparing engineering students and equipping them with the skills and experience necessary to confidently and competently engage in the field of renewable energy.
