Al-Mustaqbal University continues its distinguished international presence at the GSDC 2025 conference and participates actively in the sessions of the third day. As part of its prominent participation in the Global Sustainable Development Congress (GSDC 2025) organized by Times Higher Education in Istanbul, Turkey, Al-Mustaqbal University continued its qualitative presence on the third day of the conference, which featured a series of global dialogues on innovation, sustainability, and academic and societal transformations in light of the Sustainable Development Goals. The day began with a dedicated session on promoting health and wellbeing through Tai Chi practice by the University of Hong Kong, followed by specialized sessions discussing the role of universities as engines of social change, the impact of artificial intelligence in addressing global disparities, youth and women empowerment, social innovation, digital transformation in education, in addition to issues related to climate change, water resource management, and environmental governance. The delegation from Al-Mustaqbal University, represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, Dean of the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies; Dr. Riyadh Hamed Salman, Quality Assurance Director; Engineer Ali Abdul Hussein, Director of Rankings; and several concerned officials, actively engaged with leading international experts, exchanging views on integrating university strategies with global sustainability pathways to enhance the university’s readiness to achieve tangible and sustainable impact locally and internationally. The university’s participation in these sessions reaffirmed its vision to be a global academic actor influencing critical issues facing humanity, through adopting flexible educational policies, knowledge empowerment, innovation, and sustainable partnerships.
