A lecture entitled (Engineer s Work on Work Sites)
As part of efforts to enhance the practical and knowledge-based aspects for engineers and students, Consulting Engineer Salim Jassim Mahmoud Al-Rubaie delivered a specialized field lecture titled (The Engineer’s Work on Construction Sites), in which he presented the essence of his extensive field experience, highlighting the vital role played by engineers during the implementation phases of projects—from reading blueprints and assigning tasks, to directly supervising work, monitoring the quality of materials and execution, and finally preparing technical reports and coordinating with relevant parties. In his lecture, he addressed the main challenges engineers face on-site and how to deal with them professionally to ensure the highest levels of quality and safety, emphasizing the importance of daily follow-ups, quantity control, and monitoring the commitment of technical teams to engineering procedures and professional standards. The lecture was met with great engagement from the attendees due to the real-life examples and valuable practical advice it included, which helped transfer knowledge from the classroom to the field.
