As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen academic and training collaboration between research centers and academic institutions, Prof. Dr. Sulwan Ubaid Waheed, Director of the Al-Mustaqbal Center for Energy Research, participated in a joint online meeting with the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies on July 16, 2025, to discuss key areas of mutual interest, particularly the summer training program for engineering students. 🎓 During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Sulwan delivered a comprehensive overview of the center’s core functions and research fields, highlighting its essential role in supporting the college’s training objectives. This is achieved through: ▪️ Organizing in-person technical lectures within the center ▪️ Conducting practical field visits to real-world locations such as the University Hospital building, BDC Mall, and other industry-relevant sites. 🗣️ The meeting also underscored the importance of continuous coordination with the college deanship and department heads, ensuring that the training program is implemented in accordance with rigorous academic and technical standards that allow students to gain hands-on experience and apply theoretical knowledge in realistic settings. 🌱 This initiative aligns with the center’s broader mission to expand academic and applied partnerships with educational institutions, and reflects its ongoing commitment to empowering students with real-world engineering exposure and technical skills. It is part of the center’s vision to prepare a capable and forward-thinking generation of engineers equipped to meet the evolving challenges in energy and sustainable development.
