Al-Mustaqbal University hosted a ministerial committee headed by Professor Dr. Saleh Abdul Jabbar Saleh, Director of the Scientific Affairs Department at the Department of Research and Development, to review the mechanisms for implementing the Entrepreneurship Week activities organized by the university from February 8 to 12. The visit also aimed to follow up on the main programs and events conducted in line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which seek to promote a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation within higher education institutions The committee was received by Professor Dr. Mudhafar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision; Professor Dr. Salwan Ubaid, Director of Al-Mustaqbal Center for Renewable Energy Research; Professor Dr. Eman Abdul Aziz, Director of the Qualification, Employment, and Follow-up Division; and Engineer Khalid Al-Salihi, Director of the Sustainable Development Division. The attendees presented a comprehensive overview of the week’s themes, specialized workshops and seminars, initiatives supporting students and entrepreneurs, and the institutional efforts made to create a university environment that encourages and nurtures startup projects The university highlighted its training and awareness programs that focused on developing entrepreneurship-supportive policies, facilitating funding mechanisms, and leveraging digital media to market projects. The presentation also showcased the outcomes of practical activities and accompanying exhibitions, reflecting strong student engagement and the ability to transform innovative ideas into actionable projects The visit program included a field tour of the permanent exhibition of entrepreneurial projects and innovations developed by students and faculty members. The committee reviewed distinguished models demonstrating the application of academic knowledge to serve society and various development sectors. The committee expressed its admiration for the scientific and organizational quality of the activities and commended the efforts made to instill a culture of innovation and reinforce sustainability concepts within the university environment This visit reflects the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s commitment to monitoring and evaluating entrepreneurial programs in Iraqi universities and supporting initiatives that prepare young talents capable of creativity, competitiveness, and active participation in advancing national development
