The workshop included a detailed explanation of the fundamental principles of wind energy systems, the different types of wind turbines, and the key factors that influence system performance. It also covered the environmental impacts of wind energy and its role in supporting the transition toward clean and sustainable power generation. Additionally, the workshop addressed the mechanisms of selecting suitable turbine sites, calculating wind power output, and understanding the major technical challenges in wind energy projects. The workshop aimed to enhance students’ understanding of modern renewable energy technologies and encourage them to keep up with scientific developments while supporting clean energy initiatives in Iraq. The session witnessed remarkable interaction from students through questions and scientific discussions, which enriched the overall learning experience.
