As part of its continuous support for applied research and student-led initiatives, Almustaqbal Energy Research at Al-Mustaqbal University is actively supervising a graduation project for fourth-year students from the Power Mechanics Department, under the guidance of Center Director Dr. Silwan Ubaid Wahid and with follow-up by Mr. Ali Nael Hassan. The center provides comprehensive scientific and technical guidance to ensure the success and practical relevance of the project. The graduation project, entitled: “Comparative Analysis of Solar PV Technologies under Different Climatic Conditions”, focuses on evaluating the performance of different photovoltaic (PV) solar technologies under a variety of climatic conditions, including temperature variations, sunlight intensity, and humidity levels. The goal is to identify the most efficient and suitable technologies for local and regional applications. The project involves conducting simulation studies and performance analysis of the solar panels under different operating conditions. Specialized software and measurement tools are used to assess energy efficiency, power output, and conversion efficiency. The performance of conventional PV systems is compared with advanced technologies to highlight strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement. This project equips students with practical experience in experiment design, data collection, and analysis, enhancing their research and technical skills while preparing them for professional work in renewable energy. It also enables students to make data-driven decisions to optimize the performance of solar energy systems in diverse environmental conditions. Dr. Salwan Obaid Waheed emphasized that supervising such projects is a key role of the center, fostering applied scientific research and innovation among students. Mr. Ali Nael Hassan highlighted the importance of understanding the impact of climatic factors on PV system performance, which contributes to the design and installation of more efficient and sustainable solar energy solutions. This project supervision reflects the Future Center for Renewable Energy Research’s commitment to enhancing applied learning, developing students’ research capabilities, and supporting projects that serve the community while promoting sustainable development in the energy sector, in line with Al-Mustaqbal University’s vision.
