Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Rawdan Salman, the College of Education organized a distinguished celebration on the occasion of World Teachers’ Day, which falls on October 5th. The event was held in an atmosphere filled with appreciation and gratitude for the builders of generations and mentors of values and knowledge.
The ceremony was attended by prominent educational and academic figures, led by the Head of the Teachers’ Syndicate in Babil, Mr. Thaer Waheed Al-Jubouri, and the Head of the Academics’ Syndicate in Babil, Prof. Dr. Mithaq Al-Khafaji, along with a select group of outstanding school principals from the governorate, as well as a large gathering of the college’s professors and students.
The celebration began with a speech delivered by the Dean of the College, who warmly welcomed the esteemed guests and emphasized the pioneering role of teachers in building individuals and shaping the nation’s future. He praised their noble mission in instilling values and spreading knowledge. This was followed by a speech from the Head of the Teachers’ Syndicate, who expressed his pride in the status of teachers and their great efforts in preparing generations and developing society, extending his sincere congratulations to the university’s professors on this special occasion.
The event also witnessed the active participation of the Department of English Language, including its academic and administrative staff and students, who affirmed through their presence that this occasion represents a valuable opportunity to honor the teacher’s role and recognize their lasting impact on the journey of education and learning.
The celebration concluded with words of gratitude and appreciation to all teachers, reaffirming that Al-Mustaqbal University will remain a platform for honoring knowledge and its people, and a place that upholds the values of loyalty and respect for the eternal role of teachers in building nations.
