On Monday, October 6, 2025, the College of Science at Al-Mustaqbal University held an honoring ceremony for the students who participated in the activities of “Sustainability Week”. The event was attended by the respected University President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majidi, the Dean of the College of Science, Assistant Prof. Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, the Head of the Department of Biology, Prof. Dr. Ali Shaalan Maaylef, and the Department Coordinator, Lecturer Jaafar Hamed Jaafar.
This ceremony was held in recognition of the active efforts made by the students in successfully organizing the environmental and awareness activities conducted during the week, which aimed to promote a culture of sustainability and environmental awareness within the university community.
Through this ceremony, the College of Science reaffirms its continuous support for student initiatives that contribute to enhancing community awareness and fostering a sense of responsibility among students towards environmental and sustainable development issues.
Al-Mustaqbal University is the first university in Iraq.
