About College of Law
The College of Law, which began its journey as one of the departments of Al-Mustaqbal University College in 2012, has since emerged and gained recognition from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research under the supervision and scientific evaluation body (Reference No. JH/3422 on 6/7/2012). The College of Law has distinguished itself as a pioneering institution, following in the footsteps of leading law schools.



The college welcomed its first cohort of students in the academic year 2011-2012. Since its inception, its administration has remained steadfast in ensuring that the Law Department offers an excellent educational experience. This commitment is evident in the exceptional expertise of its faculty, which includes professors holding advanced academic titles, as well as a highly professional administrative team.



Recognizing the importance of a comprehensive learning environment, the college has adopted rigorous curricula approved by the Committee of Law Deans. It also organizes various student activities, including those related to sports, arts, and community service programs. The college continuously coordinates closely with public universities both inside and outside Iraq, benefiting from the expertise and knowledge of faculty members from these institutions, in addition to non-governmental organizations in the pursuit of strategic partnerships.



Furthermore, the college has taken the lead in establishing partnerships with judicial institutions, particularly in meeting the requirements of students' summer training. This initiative aims to instill discipline in students, elevate their academic level, and inspire them toward dedication and excellence in legal education.



Over the years, the college has achieved numerous academic milestones, including hosting several international legal conferences, workshops, seminars, legal forums, awareness lectures, and training courses. Additionally, its faculty members have published a significant number of research papers at both local and global levels. Several faculty members have also authored legal books in their respective fields, and the college has earned multiple awards in recognition of its academic contributions.



Today, graduates of the College of Law at Al-Mustaqbal University hold prestigious positions, whether in the judiciary, various institutions, security and legal sectors, or other professional fields. Many of its graduates have also pursued higher education, completing master’s and doctoral studies in various branches of law.

This vision goes beyond mere academic excellence and aims to prepare a conscious legal generation armed not only with legal knowledge but also with a deep commitment to justice, ethical principles, and the improvement of society

Mission
The college's mission is represented in the followEnhancing ing:

1.An academic endeavors to equip future generations with the capacity to comprehend diverse legal statutes and engage in community service. This is achieved through imparting specialized legal knowledge, honing essential skills, and fostering competitive research capabilities within the specified field of study among students.

2.legal consciousness and cultivating expertise across multiple branches of law to facilitate the development of legal professionals capable of serving the state.

3.Designing exemplary programs for incoming college students aimed at fostering a culture of justice administration, rights protection, the establishment of frameworks for safeguarding public freedoms, promotion of human values, and prioritizing innovative and creative legal research endeavors.

4. Facilitating interaction between students and the community while enhancing their capacity to adapt to evolving dynamics within their living environment.

5.Strengthening the connection between students and their surrounding community, while bolstering their skills to effectively navigate and respond to changes in their environment.

6.Establishing channels of communication between the Faculty of Law and the judiciary, encompassing both the practicing legal professionals and the judicial bench, to foster collaboration and mutual understanding.

Objectives
The college endeavors to attain notable accomplishments and make significant contributions to its advancement, subsequently enhancing the future university's reputation regarding legal culture. The objectives of the college can be outlined as follows: -

1.Delivering an educational curriculum in legal sciences of superior quality compared to that offered by public and private universities, adhering to international standards of excellence in higher education.

2.The department aims to enhance the effectiveness of its educational programs and study curricula, as well as the distinctiveness of its legal and qualitative research endeavors.

3.Equipping graduates with legal expertise along with proficient research and professional capabilities.

4.Enhancing understanding of laws and legal regulations and aligning them with societal needs.

5. Utilize contemporary technologies in the workplace and enable students to utilize and derive benefits from them.

6. Follow modern educational means to deliver information to the student, including the means of the virtual court in both its international and national aspects, as well as the United Nations model, and draw a systematic mechanism for the success of these means.
