About the Department
Chemical Engineering & Petroleum Industries Department of Al-Mustaqbal University was established as per the Ministerial Order No TH/AQ/5032, issued by the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research / Department of Private University Education, on 27th July 2017. The Department contributes to providing the Country with Competencies in the Field of Chemical Engineering, seeking with all its capabilities and efforts of its Academics to meet the needs of the National Industry for Engineering Cadres working in the various Industry Fields, including Oil, Petrochemical, Construction, and Food, as well as Pharmaceutical Industries. We should keep in mind that the Department does continue to keep pace with Scientific Development and Openness towards the Edges of Science through the Preliminary Study Specializations given below:
•Oil Refining Engineering; and
•Petrochemical Engineering
Chemical Engineering & Petroleum Industries Department admits Students graduating of the following Studies:
•Graduates of Preparatory Schools, Scientific, Applied and Biological Branches are admitted to Morning Studies with a Grade not less than 72% and a Tuition Fee of 2,750,000 IQ Dinar per Year.
•Graduates of Preparatory Schools, Scientific, Applied and Biological Branches are admitted to Evening Studies with a Grade not less than 65% and a Tuition Fee of 2,750,000 IQ Dinar per Year.
Study Duration is four years and Language of Study is English, after which a Graduate is awarded Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering, and he can work at Oil Refineries and petrochemical Complexes, being one of the basic applications of his Specialty.

OBJECTIVES FOR CHEMICAL ENGINEERING & PETROLEUM INDUSTRIES DEPARTMENT IN AL-MUSTAQBAL UNIVERSITY
1. Prepare graduates to work professionally in chemical and petroleum industries with technical competence, ethical responsibility, teamwork, and leadership.
2. Enable graduates to pursue postgraduate studies, research, and lifelong learning in chemical engineering and related fields.
3. Equip graduates with the ability to continuously develop their knowledge and skills through professional training and engineering societies.
4. Develop graduates capable of applying engineering design while integrating sustainability, safety, and societal considerations.
5. Encourage graduates to contribute to community service and national development through ethical engineering practice and effective teamwork.
