It is important to recall the remarkable achievements attained by Al-Mustaqbal University in the fields of higher education and academic excellence. Throughout this period, the University has maintained first place in all local and international rankings at the level of Iraq, surpassing its counterparts among private universities and colleges, and in several indicators even outperforming public and international universities. Below are the most prominent achievements: At the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025, the University was awarded two Excellence Awards: Best Distinguished University for 2022 and Best Distinguished University for 2023, during the Science Day celebration held on 30/12/2024, granted by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The University ranked first in the Iraqi National Ranking for 2024, issued by the relevant national authority, with seven of its departments also ranking first among public and private universities—an outstanding achievement. The University obtained Institutional Accreditation, meaning that all its academic programs are accredited. In addition, the College of Pharmacy received Programmatic Accreditation, with ongoing efforts to obtain American accreditation. Approval was granted for the establishment of international postgraduate programs in cooperation with Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), as well as a Master’s program in Law in collaboration with Mansoura University in the Arab Republic of Egypt. The University achieved first place globally in Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG-7) related to Affordable and Clean Energy, becoming the first Iraqi and Arab university to attain this ranking according to the British Times Higher Education Impact Rankings (THE Impact). The University ranked first among public and private universities in Iraq in the Sustainable Development Goals ranking, within the 201–300 band, becoming the first Iraqi university to achieve this position according to the THE Impact Rankings. The University achieved first place among public and private universities in Iraq in the Times Higher Education Interdisciplinary Science Rankings, issued by Times Higher Education (UK) in collaboration with the Schmidt Foundation (Germany). The University ranked first among private universities and colleges in the Spanish Webometrics Ranking. The University joined the International Association of Universities (IAU), affiliated with UNESCO and headquartered in Paris. The University achieved first place among public and private universities in Iraq in the US News 2025 Ranking (USA). The University won three First Excellence Awards in Scientific Research on Iraqi Science Day, granted by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, based on evaluation by Clarivate, as follows: First Distinguished University Award in Engineering and Technology Sciences. First Distinguished University Award in Medical and Health Sciences. First Distinguished University Award in Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences. The University received the First Distinguished Private University Award for 2025 on Science Day, granted by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Al-Mustaqbal University ranked among the top universities in the Arab University Rankings issued by Times Higher Education, achieving 101–125 Arab ranking and 3rd place in Iraq. The University achieved second place nationally in Iraq and first among private universities in the QS Sustainability Ranking, issued by the United Kingdom. The University ranked third nationally in Iraq and first among private universities in the Green University (Green Metric) Ranking, issued by Indonesia. Al-Mustaqbal University ranked first among private universities and fifth nationally in Iraq in the Arab Universities Ranking issued by the Association of Arab Universities. These achievements confirm that the staff and faculty of Al-Mustaqbal University continue their journey of excellence, strengthening its position as a leading institution with a significant impact on advancing scientific research, developing education, and serving the community.
