Under the patronage of the President of the University of Al-Mustaqbal, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and in the presence and direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering Technologies, Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, the Artificial Intelligence Engineering Technologies Department organized a get-together ceremony for first-year students, aiming to introduce them to the academic environment and strengthen bonds of communication and belonging. The ceremony witnessed active participation and positive interaction from students. It commenced with a recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a speech delivered by the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Abbas Abdul Ali Al-Bawi, in which he emphasized the university’s continuous support for students and encouraged them to pursue excellence and diligence in their academic journey. The program included a brief welcoming speech by one of the department’s students, who introduced the department, its academic programs, and future prospects. This was followed by a short introductory video prepared by a group of students, highlighting the department’s scientific capabilities and achievements. The event also featured introductory segments and interactive discussions in English, in addition to presentations of students’ creative projects. These included the design of a dedicated departmental website, the presentation of an intelligent chatbot system, and a distinguished showcase in the field of astrophotography, where artificial intelligence algorithms were used to enhance image quality and reduce digital noise. A touching and inspiring contribution by a female student, who shared a human-interest story, added a meaningful emotional dimension to the event and received great appreciation from the audience. This initiative comes as part of the department’s efforts to enhance communication among students, develop their creative and scientific skills, and prepare them to integrate into university life with confidence and a positive, collaborative spirit. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Dean of the College honored the department’s academic staff and a number of distinguished students in recognition of their efforts and valuable contributions to the success of the event.
