The College of Law at Al-Mustaqbal University Holds a Focused Conference on the Occasion of the International Day for the Prevention of Violent Extremism

On the occasion of the International Day for the Prevention of Violent Extremism, the Deanship of the College of Law at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a focused conference addressing ways to combat this dangerous phenomenon and its impact on societal peace. The conference was held at the Central Student Activities Hall and was attended by a large number of the College’s students, university faculty members, as well as a significant gathering of directors from various governmental and community institutions. The conference featured several scientific and intellectual discussions addressing the concept of violent extremism, its causes, and its legal and social implications, while emphasizing the role of academic institutions in promoting a culture of moderation and spreading legal awareness among youth, thereby contributing to the building of a society founded on the values of tolerance and respect for diversity. The event also included open discussions and interventions that reflected the engagement and interest of the attendees. Participants stressed the importance of collaborative efforts between universities, government institutions, and civil society organizations to reduce manifestations of extremism and address its root causes through sustainable educational and awareness programs.
