Under the patronage and in the personal presence of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ahmed Rodhan Salman, the College of Education, in cooperation with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, organized an awareness seminar for first-year students of the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences. The seminar was held on Thursday, 26/2/2026, at 9:00 a.m. in Hall (12), in the Pharmacy Building.

The seminar was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Rola Saad Habib, faculty member in the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences.
Seminar Themes and Pillars (Based on Educational Directives):
In alignment with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education to foster a well-established and disciplined university environment, the seminar focused on the following strategic pillars:
1. Ethical and Legal Protection Pillar:
• Raising awareness about the dangers of false accusations and malicious allegations among students, and their legal and psychological consequences on individuals and the academic community.
• Combating bullying in all its forms (verbal, social, and cyber) and clarifying the proper official channels for reporting and addressing it.
• Adherence to regulations: Reviewing disciplinary systems that preserve students’ dignity and prevent behavioral violations.
2. Psychological Empowerment and Self-Building Pillar:
• Strengthening self-confidence as a primary defense against destructive attempts and bullying.
• Confrontation and public speaking skills: Training students to stand confidently before an audience and speak publicly to overcome social anxiety and refute false claims with strong arguments.
• The (Awareness) Campaign: Promoting a culture of verification before passing judgment, reinforcing the values of intellectual integrity.
3. Behavioral Development and Emotional Intelligence Pillar:
• Soft Skills: Training students in social intelligence to manage peer conflicts peacefully and constructively.
• The concept of “Safe Collegiality”: Encouraging initiatives that support victims of defamation or bullying.
Final Recommendations:
1. Adopting a “No Bullying” principle as an ethical code within classrooms and activating the student’s role as a self-monitor.
2. Encouraging students to seek assistance from the Psychological Counseling Unit without hesitation in cases of blackmail or false accusations.
3. Continuing to organize workshops that develop leadership skills and personal empowerment.
Conclusion:
The seminar concluded with an affirmation that the College of Education will remain an environment where ethical values prevail, in implementation of the state’s plans to build a confident and capable generation for 2026. Confronting defamation, it was emphasized, is a collective responsibility that begins with student awareness and is reinforced by the firmness of the law.#College_of_Education
