College of Agricultural Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University Organizes a Scientific Workshop on Chemical Safety in Scientific Laboratories Under the patronage of the President of Al‑Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Agricultural Technologies, the College organized a scientific workshop entitled “Chemical Safety in Scientific Laboratories.” The workshop was held on Monday, March 9, 2026, in the Student Activities Hall at the university. The workshop began with a speech on behalf of the University President delivered by the Academic Supervisor, Professor Dr. Muzaffar Al-Zuhairi, who emphasized the importance of promoting chemical safety concepts in scientific laboratories due to their vital role in protecting staff and students and ensuring a safe educational and research environment. The workshop included scientific lectures delivered by Professor Dr. Ihab Kareem Obeid and Assistant Professor Dr. Sadiq Jaafar Baqir. The lectures addressed the principles of chemical safety, safe handling of chemicals inside laboratories, and the preventive procedures that should be followed to reduce laboratory risks and accidents.
