Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and the Dean of the Engineering Technical College, Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abdul, and with the guidance of the department presidency, second-year evening students in the Power Mechanics Engineering Techniques Department organized a humanitarian visit to the Elderly Care Home in Babylon Governorate, on Thursday, 12/3/202. The visit aimed to provide humanitarian assistance and gifts to the residents of the home, in an initiative that reflects the spirit of social solidarity and enhances human connection with the elderly, in addition to bringing joy to their hearts and reinforcing the values of volunteer work and social responsibility among students. This initiative was supervised by Professor Dr. Issam Mohi, Assistant Professor Hassan Ghanem Hassan, and Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Sabah Malik, where students participated in providing moral and material support to the residents as part of the department’s community activities. The visit included distributing gifts and humanitarian aid and directly interacting with the residents, contributing to strengthening human bonds and highlighting the role of educational institutions in serving the community. The initiative aims to promote humanitarian values among students and encourage them to engage in volunteer work and community service. It is worth noting that the Engineering Technical College is always keen to organize humanitarian and community activities that support different groups and enhance the university’s role in serving society.
