The Department of Chemical Engineering organized a scientific awareness workshop for its students titled “Separation Techniques in the Chemical Industry,” under the supervision of Ms. Zainab Hassan Ali, with the participation of a select group of graduates from the Oil Institute: Karar Ali Mazhar, Muhammad Baqir Hussein, and Mahdi Anwar Hassan. The workshop aimed to introduce students to the most important separation techniques used in the chemical and petroleum industries, the process of oil extraction from wells to the distillation tower, and issues related to corrosion. The workshop also included an explanation of a number of common separation methods, such as distillation, absorption, extraction, and filtration, highlighting their practical applications in factories and industrial facilities.
