On the occasion of the International Day of Forests, the College of Agricultural Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University organized an environmental awareness activity represented by a tree-planting campaign across the university campus, with the participation of a number of faculty members and students. The initiative aimed to promote environmental sustainability and raise awareness about the importance of expanding green spaces. The event included planting a number of trees and seedlings in several locations within the university. Participants actively contributed to planting and caring for the seedlings as part of efforts to improve the campus environment and reinforce concepts related to the preservation of natural resources. The college administration affirmed that organizing such initiatives aligns with the academic and community role of the university in supporting environmental and awareness activities, as well as strengthening the spirit of volunteerism among students and encouraging them to participate in initiatives that contribute to environmental protection and combating desertification. Organizers also indicated that celebrating the International Day of Forests represents an important opportunity to instill environmental responsibility among students and highlight the significant role of trees in improving air quality and maintaining ecological balance. The event witnessed notable engagement from students, who expressed their pride in participating in this environmental initiative, emphasizing that such activities enhance cooperation and teamwork while spreading environmental awareness within the university community.
