In line with the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 6, which aims to ensure the availability and sustainable management of water, and under the patronage and presence of the Dean of the College of Arts, Professor Dr. Hussein Wahid Aziz, the Department of Media organized a specialized workshop on the morning of Tuesday, March 24, 2026, entitled (How to Preserve Water Resources in Iraq). The workshop, which coincides with World Water Week, featured scientific presentations by Assistant Professor Dr. Hamza Obais Abd Al-Sada and Lecturer Dr. Qasim Mahdi Hamza. The lecturers focused on strategic mechanisms to protect national water resources in light of current climate challenges, while emphasizing the crucial role of university media in formulating an awareness discourse that contributes to rationalizing consumption and preserving this vital resource for future generations.
