The Faculty of Sciences held a meeting of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Committee, under the patronage of the President of AL- Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, Assistant Professor Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., in the presence of the committee chair and members. This meeting was convened in response to the requirements of the educational process and out of a commitment to enhancing the educational and academic environment within the college by supporting students’ psychological and guidance needs, thereby contributing to the improvement of their academic and behavioral standards. The meeting began with a welcoming speech by the committee chair, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Kazim Mohan, who emphasized the importance of implementing guidance and educational programs and their active role in supporting students and enhancing the educational environment. The meeting featured discussions on a number of key topics, most notably the activation of guidance and educational activities, the phased distribution of guidance tasks among academic departments, the preparation and organization of guidance records, and the holding of awareness seminars and lectures to enhance students’ psychological well-being, as well as developing an annual plan for guidance events and workshops, and assigning specific tasks and performance indicators to committee members. At the conclusion of the meeting, the need to continue developing guidance programs and working as a unified team was emphasized to achieve an integrated educational environment that supports students and contributes to the development of their capabilities. This activity falls within the framework of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), by enhancing the quality of education and providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
