Tomorrow, Saturday, April 4, 2026, AL-Mustaqbal University will host the fifth annual book fair, a distinguished cultural event taking place in the university’s main building under the slogan “Our Books, Our Future.” It is considered the largest such event among Iraqi universities. The fair will feature the participation of twenty-five publishing houses from around the world, showcasing a wide range of books and publications across various fields to cater to the interests of students and those interested in cultural affairs. The fair includes a number of accompanying events, including live meetings with a select group of writers and poets, theatrical performances, and various artistic activities, as well as a handicraft bazaar showcasing innovative products, alongside the distribution of free coupons for book purchases to support the spread of a culture of reading. The fair offers visitors the opportunity to engage with cultural events and benefit from literary and artistic experiences, as part of the university’s efforts to promote culture and foster intellectual awareness within and beyond the university community. The organization of this fair is part of AL-Mustaqbal University’s ongoing efforts to support cultural and educational activities and to solidify its position as one of Iraq’s leading academic institutions.
